WE ANNOUNCE THE FIRST HEADLINER of the 24th Liburnia Jazz Festival
Richard Galliano and the New York Tango Trio will perform on July 6, 2024. on the Summer Stage in Opatija.
Richard Galliano is a legendary French musician, the idol of every accordionist, the man who was commissioned by Astor Piazzola himself to create the French "New Musette", as he also created the Argentine "New Tango".
Announcing the concert at the Liburnia Jazz Festival, Galliano said: In the company of Sébastien Giniaux (guitar and cello) and Diego Imbert (double bass), we will approach the New Tango and New Musetta repertoire in the jazz mood, playing each concert in a completely free way, sometimes far from the score but never far from the composer's soul."

Juna Serita - canceled
We regret to inform you that June Serita's concert, which was supposed to take place on 08.07. at the 23rd Liburnia Jazz Festival, as well as the entire European tour, was canceled due to technical problems on which Liburnia Jazz as the organizer has no influence.
Liburnia Jazz hereby expresses regret for the situation and apologizes to all jazz lovers.
The evening will not be canceled, however,there will a concert by the JM Jazz World Orchestra - one of the best large world jazz orchestras.
If you do not like the program change, you can request a refund starting from Wednesday, June 14thuntil June 30th, from the vendor where the tickets were purchased.
For tickets purchased online, a refund must be requested via email to info@mojekarte.hr indicating the order number for which the refund is to be made.

The 19th Liburnia Jazz Festival program changes
Due to severe health problems, Matija Dedić will not be able to perform the concert with Vasil Hadžimanov scheduled for Friday, 05.07.2019. at the 19th Liburnia Jazz Festival in Opatija.
However, the evening will not be canceled because the concert will be performed by Vasil Hadžimanov with his Jazz Quartet.
Everyone who bought tickets for the "Matija vs Vasil" concert, if they wish so, can return the tickets at the place where they bought the ticket and make a money refund, and those who want to attend the VH Quartet concert can use the same ticket for the entry.

At a press conference on 08.06. at the Open Air Theatre, the entire program of this year's Liburnia Jazz Festival was presented.
Yamaha showroom & Elvis Stanić master workshop
On Sunday, July 9 at 11 am, Elvis Staniæ will host the Guitar Master Workshop "From Blues and Jazz to Own Style" at the Cultural Center „Gervais“.
He will also present THE YAMAHA SHOWROOM, the latest line of Yamaha's unique REVSTAR electric guitars and THR hybrid tubes amps, with an open trial and testing possibility. The YAMAHA SHOWROOM will be open until 18:00.

16. Liburnia Jazz Festival line-up announced
16th Liburnia Jazz Festival will be held in Opatija and Lovran from 01.-03.07. Theline-up of this year's festival was announced byFestival's art director Elvis Stanic and the Rajna Milos - from Festival Opatija, co-organizer of the Liburnia Jazz Festival.

Jazz ExTempore Orchestra '08 - UK Tour
Following the release of their second CD East & West, Jazz ExTempore Orchestra will be touring UK in October.
The jazz group features Andrea Vicari on piano from the UK, Elvis Stanic on guitar and accordion from Croatia, Rico de Jeer on bass from Holland/Indonesia and Hristo Yotsov on drums from Bulgaria.
The group was initially formed as a cultural exchange between Croatia and other European countries with gigs in Croatia (Zagreb jazz club, Liburnia jazz festival), Bulgaria (Live Club Sofia, Plovdiv jazz festival) as well as Holland and England (Scarborough jazz festival 2010) and more recently the group toured Europe including Bosnia, Herzegovina, Croatia and Italy .

Liburnia Jazz Association will participate at the largest European jazz music fair, Jazzahead in Bremen, Germany, from 19. – 22.04. 2012 as an exhibitor with Europe Jazz Network.
For this occasion, it will present Liburnia Jazz Festival and Jazz Ex Eempore projects to the widest audience.
In addition to presenting original art projects in Bremen, trough the "Jazz Across Europe“ platform, it will also present Opatija as a tourist destination, wich besides it's top tourist attractions offers outstanding cultural events.
