Rosa Brunello


Rosa Brunello is young italian doublebass player. She study at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Jazz Conservatory “G. Tartini” in Triest, Jazz Conservatory “F. Venezze” in Rovigo, Jazz-Institut Berlin, Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris and at Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

She took part in several important international workshop with Bobby McFerrin, Elvin Jones, Michel Camilo, Horazio “El Negro” Hernandez, Scott Colley, Miguel Zenon, Ben Allison, Drew Gress, Paolino Dalla Porta, Lionel Louke, Ferenc Nemeth, Glauco Venier, Stefano Bollani, Pietro Tonolo, Mauro Negri, Massimo Manzi, Ack Von Rooyer, Bruno Castellucci, Roberto Gatto.

In 2012 she recorded her first album “Camarones a la plancha” (Zone di Musica) as a leader of the band  The Rosa Brunello 5et. In May 2016 her second album as a leader (Rosa Brunello y Los Fermentos) ‘Upright Tales’ is released by the international label Cam Jazz. In March 2018 her third album is released. It’s ‘Volverse – Live in Trieste’, a live concert recorded together with Alessandro Presti, Filippo Vignato and Luca Colussi.

With the band OMIT FIVE, with whom he is constantly touring through Italy and Europe, got first prize as best band at Barga Jazz Contest 2011 and at Premio Delle Arti 2011 of MIUR.
